Pearl Jam wrapped up their concert at Portland's Moda Center last night by making a little local history. For the final number, the band brought out Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss to join in on a cover of Neil Young's "Rockin' In the Free World." The onstage reunion marks the first time all three members of Sleater-Kinney have performed together since 2006.
Brownstein (who included Eddie Vedder in an episode of her show Portlandia) joined Pearl Jam, along with St. Vincent's Annie Clark, on the same song earlier this month in Dallas. And all of Sleater-Kinney had performed "Rockin' In the Free World" with Pearl Jam before, back in 2003. Peter Buck and Scott McCaughey also joined in on last night's performance.
Pearl Jam continue their Lightning Bolt tour tonight in Spokane, Washington. The band recently announced that SiriusXM will be broadcasting concerts from the tour on its Pearl Jam Radio channel. This article originally appeared on Rolling Stone: Sleater-Kinney Reunite at Pearl Jam Show
