Stephen Colbert Taps fun., Flaming Lips, Santigold for Concert Bash

Last night on The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert announced "StePhest Colbchella '012: RocktAugustFest," an August 10th concert bash at New York's Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. The comedian confirmed fun., Santigold, the Flaming Lips and Grizzly Bear will perform, with Grandmaster Flash acting as official DJ. The Colbert Report will also feature interviews with each performer the week of August 13th.

"Does Bonnaroo have cruise missiles? I think not," joked Colbert. "It's summer and that means it's time to remount my long-running, one-year tradition of throwing my own summer concert."

 

Last year's "StePhest Colbchella '011: Rock You Like a Thirst-Icane" featured Jack White, Bon Iver, Florence and the Machine and Talib Kweli. Tickets will be available later today on the Colbert Nation website.
