Police are currently investigating whether proper security measures were in place after some witnesses spoke of an "avalanche" of people after a firecracker or flare apparently went off near the entrance of the venue.

According to Deputy Mayor Miguel Ángel Villanueva, 9,650 tickets were sold for 10,600-capacity venue, though it's unclear how big the crowd was at the time of the incident, which happened around 4 a.m. local time. Villanueva added that all the emergency exits were functioning properly and that show organizers, Diviertt, had all the necessary permits.
