VIDEO: R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet Adds New Chapters

    R. Kelly's Closet is getting a little bigger.

Trapped in the Closet, the singer's "hip-hopera" that currently stands at 22 chapters (available on DVD), will add 11 more to its canon Friday, premiering the extra hour of footage on IFC at 9/8c.

Kelly began the project in 2005 as an audio-only recording, which later turned into an epic music video, featuring Kelly himself playing many of the main characters. The new chapters are the first addition in five years.

It's impossible to describe the entire plot succinctly, but some of the major characters include protagonist Sylvester (played by Kelly), who's married to Gwendolyn but cheats on her with Cathy — who's married to Rufus, a church pastor who has been secretly having an affair with Chuck. And that just sums up the first two chapters.
