Whitney Houston's Family Lands Lifetime Reality Series

The surviving family of Whitney Houston will star in an upcoming Lifetime reality series, Deadline.com reports. The Houston Family Chronicles will document sister-in-law and estate manager Pat Houston, brother Gary, mother Cissy and daughter Bobbi Kristina as they move on from the diva's death.

Pat Houston had reportedly been working on an unscripted project about her and her family over the past few years. "The unexpected passing of Whitney certainly affects the direction of the show," she said. "However, it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward."

Reports say Lifetime has already ordered ten hour-long episodes set to premiere later this year. "The tragic loss of Whitney Houston left a void in the hearts of people all over the world, but certainly none more so than her beloved family," said Lifetime Executive Vice President Rob Sharenow. "In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love and grow."

Earlier this week, VH1 revealed they will honor Houston with a new installment of Divas set to tape this December. Houston died on February 11th in Beverly Hills, California. She was 48.
