    Whitney Houston's Final Movie Set for August Release

    Rolling Stone – Mon, Feb 13, 2012 8:40 AM EST

    Sparkle, a musical drama featuring the final film role of Whitney Houston, is now scheduled to hit theaters on August 17th. The movie, a remake of the 1976 picture of the same name, features Houston as the mother of three sisters in a Supremes-like musical group who struggle with fame and drugs. The movie also includes performances by Jordin Sparks, Cee Lo Green and Mike Epps.

    In addition to starring in the film, Houston recorded several songs for its soundtrack, which was intended as a comeback project for the troubled superstar. The release date for the soundtrack is not yet established, but it seems safe to assume that Houston's final recordings will hit stores sometime this summer.

      I wish the public would let her family morn her in peace. The news reporters stop looking for the bad that she may or may not have done. Let everybody remember her for the woman she was and especially for the mother she was. Let her past be her past and move on. To her daughter no one can tell you that they feel your pain because they cannot. I pray for God to give you strength and guide you in the following days and years to come.         I wish the news could only report the weather, happy, uplifting stories. No drama, no murders,no suicides, no star stalking. The news ABC, NBC, CBS, fox etc are just as bad as the paparazzi. I refuse to give them my tv rating.

        Thank you for you comment I feel the same way, let her family mourn her and give her daughter some room to breathe. My God she was a mom, daughter, sister and everything and most of all she was human and a child of God, just like us and I'm just glad she's in God's hands now and thats the best place, where she will have no more battles or pain. May God give Bobbi Kristina the strength that she dont have to get through the pain time that are now and still to come. Your right none of us will ever know what she feels.       It would not be loving for a God to take all humans from the earth to make them as angels especially when it brings so much grief.. God created angels for the heavens and man for the earth and yes, So to the family of Whitney, you will see her again when Jesus calls out to all of those in the memorial tomb for we have the promise of a resurrection. May the comfort of God's love be with Bobbi Kristina, Mama Cissy, brother Gary and the rest of the family. Psalm 115:16, Psalm 37:29, John 5:29, Acts 24:15. There has not been such a beautiful voice than Whitney's prior to or present.
