My work focuses on the architecture out in Rockaway; these paintings feature, specifically, structures at Riis Park and Fort Tilden. To me, they represent emotional states as well as physical. Although the structures are under utilized, and some completely abandoned and in disrepair, to me they are reverent, adding the to the beauty of their environment and hinting of a time that no longer exists.
