more “Today” host Matt Lauer had a heated exchange with Kanye in November 2010. The “Watch The Throne” rapper appeared on the show to discuss President George W. Bush’s book “Decision Points” in which he mentions Kanye’s Hurricane Katrina slam, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” As Kanye responded, “Today” producers played a video of Bush reacting to the comment. Kanye quipped, “I didn’t need you guys to play the tape in order to prompt my emotion to what I’m going to say. I don’t have to do TV stuff, with me. This is reality. This is the real thing going on, you know what I’m saying? I don’t need all the jazz.” Kanye and Matt had more friction when recounting the rapper’s MTV Video Music Awards incident with Taylor Swift. As Kanye was talking, the producers played the clip. Kanye complained. “Yo, how am I supposed to talk if you’re gonna run this thing in the middle while I’m talking?” After they resumed the interview, Kanye said, “Please don’t let that happen. It’s ridiculous.” Kanye further complained on Twitter.
