Rhianna is not fat in this pic by any means.I don't really see the curves either...she just looks thin to me. What is wrong with the people who put this gallery together...idiots.
    • DAWN  •  Toronto, Canada  •  4 months ago
The people who write for the magazines can never be happy, so there isn't any point of anyone trying. If you are thin you need to gain weight. IF you are a normal weight, you need to lose. I have no idea of what their idea of normal weight is. I don't think they know either.
White women are gaining cancer in tanning booths trying to be darker. Black women are bleaching the skin, and causing who knows what damage. All for the mythical perfect shade of skin. Another problem with image.
Now for the big question. How does this effect talent? Personally, I can't carry a tune. If I suddenly had the perfect skin colour and the perfect weight, would I suddenly be a talented singer.
Maybe we should be judging these women on their talent.

The problem with a lot of the women in this article is that they need to have good looks to make up for the vocal skills. I am going to be very honest here. Do you really think Rihanna would get as far as she did if she was fat and unattractive, and had to only rely on her vocal skills?

unfortunately no B buts thats the point of what is wrong with america

I do have to say Adele who's in one of the pictures is a plus size woman who is VERY beautiful. She is okay with herself. She's not going to change herself because the media tells her too. Those are the kind of people you have to stand up and applaud for.

Only in America do we have such a "fascination"(because no other word will do) with the way we look. We criticizes famous people for being a little chunky yet we are telling our kids to love who they are and what they look like. It's no wonder there is so much bullying and a higher rate of eating disorders when it comes to teens. And it's not just the girls/women, we do the same with males. If they aren't muscular enough they won't be wanted be a woman. Those of you that are posting about eating healthy that doesn't always work, I have always eaten healthy and been active in sports and I'm considered over weight by doctors standards. You can't/shouldn't judge someone just by seeing that they are big. There are many factors that go into it. Also, once you hit a certain age it's even harder to lose the weight no matter what you do.

interestingly enough, my european friends who wouldnt think of dieting and just accept their bodies as they are are all pretty thin. obsessing over food and dieting just makes you fat.

In the end it is about being happy with yourself and screw the public opinion. You spend your whole life working out and starving trying to make everyone else happy and everyone else love you when what you should focus on is loving yourself and making yourself happy. I #$%$ sure know my last thoughts when I go aren't going to be "#$%$ I wish I had spent more time at the gym!"

I love all those girls... But who the heck is Beth Ditto??? Am I suppose to know who she is?? O__O

Why do some all spend so much time talking about their bodies? We are who we are and, if someone isn't happy with their appearance, they can choose to do something about it. I find articles like this extremely silly, completely unnecessary and one of the problems in our society; no one should be this preoccupied with their bodies. It was also an excuse to just have some provocative photos of young women. Is there not something more newsworthy?

Why are curvy girls being critized? Busty and hippy is the way they're designed to be. Miley Cyrus was right, she looks like a WOMAN. Curves are hot.

        so true....
      • StsitramA 4 months ago
Miley Cyrus looks quite hot. But don't confuse "curves" with obesity. "Rolls" and "muffin tops" do not count as "curves", they count as disgusting.

Oh goodness...not this whole 'curvy girls are awesome, skinny girls suck' thing again. It's so funny how people will be up in arms to defend curves and think nothing about trashing skinny girls. How about we not be completely hypocritical, if you think it's #$%$ for people to criticize 'curvy girls' then it's also #$%$ to criticize 'skinny girls'. Just realize that everyone's body is different, everyone has a different idea of what they want their body to look like and really, as long as it's not negatively affecting their health, who the hell cares? No one needs Joe Nobody (or in this case perhaps Jane Nobody would be more appropriate) on Yahoo's 2 cents about what kind of a body they think is 'gross' and what kind of a body is 'hot.

how come people defend curvy people and let it go when you call someone bony? it hurts. skinny people have feelings too!:(
    • William  •  4 months ago
Other than Beth Ditto, who I never heard of before today, none of these women are anything other than normal women with some being skinny, some being average, and some being curvy. Ditto could lose some weight from a health perspective, but then so can a lot of people, myself included. So she's one of ten, which makes this article 90 percent garbage.

Finally!!! This will help every American teenage girl to stop being so insecure. It definitely helped me! Girls and women all need to accept that they are beautiful without being the size of twigs.
    • ANN NONOMOUS  •  4 months ago
These sisters are looking good on here. This is what real women look like, curves, baby, curves. These skinny broads with flat butts, no breasts or fake ones, no hips do not look good. Men will tell you they want some meat on their bones and thin ain't in. Kelly Clarkson was one of the first to say "the hell with this thin stuff" and that she was happy with her body. I applaud her and Miley Cyrus rocks as young as she is. She is too cool and happy with who and what she is. You go, Babe, you go. Christina Aguilero, rock it out, girl, you look divine. They look like what the rest of us average, normal women look like and we, too, rock.

Bring on more articles like this one! Gals, you need to listen to this 73-year-old grandma -- men like snuggling with a woman who has some meat on her bones -- no fun hugging a broomstick! Real he-men will agree and are proud of it!
