White Shoes & The Couples Company
Windu & Defrina - Exclusive Performance
Putting Indonesia squarely on the musical map, WS&CC make groovy cocktail-pop for jetsetters across the globe. This performance was certainly worth the 48 hours it took them to get to SXSW.
With the most funky-fresh sound to come out of Manchester since the Happy Mondays, and the best blonde-bombshell frontwoman since Debbie Harry, the Ting Tings are certainly next big things.
He once fronted unsung '90s alt-rock noisemakers Verbena, but after moving to the country, AA Bondy amazingly reinvented himself as a Dylanesque troubadour. Now he won't remain unsung for long.
With her gorgeously Lesley Gore-ish voice and an album that sounds like what Phil Spector produced in his prime, Nicole seems like a girl from bygone era. But she's definitely one to watch in 2008.
