"Wow! That Ab-Roller really works!" Well, if there's one thing we've learned this week, it's that you can count on three things: death, taxes, and Shakira's video remaining in our top 10. Yes, Shakira's latest video opus is still proudly shimmying atop our chart, just two notches above the fan-created Shakira video starring a slew of intrepid amateur hip-movers and shakers. (In the words of Wyclef: Shakira, Shakira! Literally.) Hips don't lie, and apparently they don't move down our chart, either.
The video Paris Hilton doesn't want you to see. However, Shakira may soon be seeing red--or shall we say pink--because it looks like Pink's celebutante-skewering "Stupid Girls" video has a good chance of usurping the number-one spot. Pink: good clean fun. It re-entered our chart with a vengeance this week, hurtling all the way to number two. Yes, the Oprah-endorsed release of Pink's colorful "comeback" album, I'm Not Dead, proves Pink is indeed alive and kicking ass. As if there was ever any doubt!
The Flatts make it "Hurt" so good. Meanwhile, in a pop- and R&B-choked top 10, we've got just one band apiece representing the country and rock genres. Country superstars Rascal Flatts are far from flatlining, with "What Hurts The Most" making a rare leap into our top 5, while Panic! At The Disco have no need to panic just yet, as "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" holds steady at number 9 for, like, the jillionth week in a row. (Apparently they write hit songs, too).
 "Shhhh...we're trying to rock here!"
FYI: Dem Franchize Boyz are quite literally off the chart this week, thanks to Pink's rebound--but don't count DFB out of the game just yet. Will the Boyz be back in town next week? And will new videos by Chris Brown, Dixie Chicks, Ne-Yo, or the Red Hot Chili Peppers steal some of Shakira's seemingly un-steal-able thunder? There's only one way to find out. So we'll see you here next week. Until then, happy viewing!
