Bush's Rossdale Consoles Gwen Stefani Over Travel And World Events

(11/14/01, 1 p.m. ET) -- As Monday's (November 12) New York plane crash weighs heavy on the American public in the wake of the September 11 terror attacks, Bush's Gavin Rossdale isn't letting the latest travel woes stop him, but he says his girlfriend, No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani, is concerned.
Rossdale was asked by LAUNCH if he's changed his attitude about the way the band tours and travels due to the fear of terrorism. "No. I refuse to let it change the way we travel. You have to stand up to this and can't let it... I mean Gwen is really worried about this stuff, and really we've had a couple of moments where she's just been pretty tearful about it and, like, what's going to happen. I'm like, 'Well, whatever's going to happen, you're not changing it. There's nothing you can do, and if this is it and something is about to hit this building and we're dust, look how much fun we had…Thank God you don't live in Israel. Check that out. Go live in Northern Ireland.'"
Rossdale is spending some downtime in the U.K. at home before embarking on a tour with Bush in support of the recently released Golden State in Europe later this month. The band's new single, "The People That We Love," is currently Number 13 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart.
