H.O.R.D.E. Lineup Herded

(4/22/98) - Smashing Pumpkins, Paula Cole, Marcy Playground and Fastball have been added to a H.O.R.D.E. festival lineup that already includes Blues Traveler, Ben Harper, Alana Davis and Barenaked Ladies, among others. The tour, expected to be the alternative music fest of the Summer with Lollapalooza on hiatus, starts July 9th at River's Edge in Somerset, Wisconsin, and wraps September 5th in Portland, Oregon. Second stage stars include Robert Bradley's Backwater Surprise, Chris Stills (son of '60s singer-songwriter Stephen Stills), David Garza, Fiji Mariners, Emmet Swimming, Agents Of Good Roots and Getaway People.
