Powerman 5000 Vs. Guns

(3/2/00, 6 p.m. ET) - Many American citizens are genuinely concerned about the gun-related violence that scarred the nation this week, and that includes members of the music community such as Powerman 5000 vocalist Spider One.

LAUNCH asked Spider if he owned a gun as a kid. "No… I'm totally anti-gun, anti-weapon…. I'm not here to say I'm a pacifist, but I'm just disturbed by all that stuff. And living in L.A., it's, like, all around you, so it's even worse"

Spider expressed specific worry about Tuesday's (Feb. 29) first-grade-classroom shooting by a six-year-old boy in Mount Morris Township, Mich. and the shooting rampage in Pittsburgh on Wednesday (March 1) that left two dead and three injured.
