Stars Shining On EWF Remake

(3/26/98) - The Wu-Tang Clan offshoot Sunz Of Man, Wyclef Jean of the Fugees, Ol' Dirty Bastard and Earth, Wind & Fire have joined for a remake of Earth, Wind & Fire's classic "Shining Star."

"I though the combinations would be ridiculous," said Wyclef, who produced the track. "Two different worlds that talk about the exact same things meet. But the fusion is just magic."

Live instruments and vocals were provided by EWF, while raps by Sunz and ODB were inserted.

"Shining Star" will be the first single from Sunz Of Man's debut album, scheduled to be released in June on Threat Records/ Red Ant Entertainment. The album has guest turns by Method Man, Raekwon, Masta Killer and U-God of Wu-Tang, as well production by RZA, Supreme, 4th Disciple and True Master.
