(3/20/98) - Lemmy of Motorhead, Joe Lynn Turner, Def Leppard's Phil Collen and Quiet Riot are among those featured on Thunderbolt, a DeRock Records tribute to AC/DC that mixes and matches various metalheads. Some long-dormant stars turned out for this one. Jake E. Lee and Y&T's Dave Meniketti team with Lemmy on vocals for "It's A Long Way To The Top"; AC/DC drummer Simon Wright actually pays homage to himself by drumming on "Back In Black," backing up Collen on guitar and Joe Lynn Turner's vocals. And Quiet Riot's Kevin DuBrow, Rudy Sarzo, Carlos Cavazzo and Frankie Banali get to massacre "Highway To Hell." Others turning out on this collector's item for big-hair fans include Ugly Kid Joe's Whitifield Crane, Klaus Eichstadt and Shannon Larkin; Skid Row's Sebastian Bach; Ratt's Warren DeMartini and Bobby Blotzer; and Great White's Jack Russell, Mark Kendall and Sean McNabb.
