(8/26/03, 3 p.m. ET) -- Dashboard Confessional will be kicking off a 28-date tour in support of their new album, A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar. The tour kicks off on August 30 in Pittsburgh, and lead singer Chris Carrabba told MTV.com he's looking forward to hitting the road again because he was starting to get a case of "cabin fever."
Carrabba explained, "For the past five years, I've always felt really uncomfortable if we were home for more than two weeks. Since our last (U.S.) headlining tour, we did a tour in the U.K., then recorded the record, then went on tour with Beck, and then I did some solo shows. Now that I've been home for a while, I've grown to really like being stationary, and that's kind of square. I don't want to feel that way anymore."
The tour is supposed to wrap up on October 7, but it's expected that more shows will be added.
A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar debuted at Number Two on the Billboard 200 albums chart, selling 122,000 copies in its first week.
