Hootie & The Blowfish Postpone New York Show

(7/27/03, 7 a.m. ET) -- Hootie & The Blowfish postponed their concert at Roseland in New York City due to ongoing local labor disputes. The band said in a statement, "We are extremely disappointed that we will not be performing tonight in New York City but we, as a band, are not willing to cross the picket line made up of people that we work with on a daily basis. We expect to re-schedule this show in the very near future when circumstances are more favorable."
The band is currently on tour in support of their latest self-titled album with Big Head Todd & The Monsters opening for them. Hootie's next show is scheduled for the Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday (July 27).
