(10/6/03, 4 p.m. ET) -- Incubus has begun selling their own authorized live bootlegs, according to Billboard.com. The first release, Live At Lollapalooza 2003, is available exclusively from the IncubusBootlegs.com web site and will start shipping to buyers tomorrow, October 7. Live At Lollapalooza 2003 is slated as the first in the "Live For Life" series of "various concerts around the world" due for release in the next year. All proceeds from the project will benefit the Make Yourself Foundation, a charitable organization newly launched by the band.
Other bands that have sold their own live bootlegs include Pearl Jam and Phish.
Live At Lollapalooza 2003 features hits like "Wish You Were Here" and "Nice To Know You," as well as covers of indie band Shudder To Think's "X-French Tee Shirt" and pop crooner Lionel Richie's "Hello."
The set also features a live version of a brand new song called "Pistola." The song is expected to surface on the next studio album from Incubus, due out February 10.
Incubus kicks off a world tour in January that's expected to bring them to North America in late May or early June. The band plans to play a charity concert in Southern California at some point during the tour, which will also feature other musicians and non-music events with appearances by surfers.
