Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey Star In Steamy Music Video

(6/23/03, 7 a.m. ET) -- Jessica Simpson is joined by her husband, 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey, in the music video for her new single "Sweetest Sin."
The track is the first from her upcoming album, In This Skin. Legendary songwriter Diane Warren wrote "Sweetest Sin," and the track will be available on July 15.
Lachey said the video features the two scantily clad newlyweds rolling around on the beach, and one of them is topless. "It's a very sexy song," Lachey said. "It's cool to do it with your wife--obviously I wouldn't want to see her doing a video like that with anybody else. So yeah, I worked pretty hard and tried to get as ripped up as I could. I was, you know, shirtless the entire shoot and the pictures I've seen--the footage I've seen--is really incredible. So I'm looking forward to that final video being done."
Lachey said the couple set out from the start to make one of the hottest videos ever. "Yeah, we wanted to create one of the Top 10 sexiest videos of all time. That was the goal," Lachey said.
Simpson's latest clip will be on MTV's Making The Video on July 7 at 2 p.m. ET. Please check your local listings.
The couple is also preparing for the August 4 debut of their MTV reality show, the Newlyweds. Lachey's debut solo album Soul-O and Simpson's In This Skin, will both hit stores simultaneously on August 19. Lachey and Simpson are also planning to tour together in support of their respective albums.
