Barry And Robin Gibb May Continue Recording Under Bee Gees Name

(6/24/03, 1 p.m. ET) -- Robin Gibb has been telling interviewers in Europe that he and brother Barry will continue to record under the Bee Gees name, with a possible album coming in 2004. Robin told the Spanish News Agency EFE in Madrid, "The Bee Gees will continue." Following the death of Robin's twin brother, Maurice, in January of this year, the surviving Gibb brothers said they were going to retire the group name.
Robin Gibb said, "When Maurice died, we said many things without stopping to think." Robin and Barry Gibb will meet in Miami in the coming weeks to make plans for the future. "Then we will decide, what exactly to do. I am not excluding either a tour or a new record next year," added Robin.
Gibb is in currently in Europe, promoting his latest single, "Wait Forever," from his solo album Magnet. He performs an acoustic set on Saturday (June 28) at the German music festival, On Airport 2003. More information may be found, in German, at the Website, onairport.de.
