LL Cool J Looking For A New Record Deal

(6/1/03, 10 a.m. ET) -- Veteran rapper LL Cool J is currently making the rounds in search of a new multi-million-dollar recording contract. The rapper released his tenth album, 10, in October on Def Jam Records and is now a free agent.
According to New York's Daily News, the rapper initially hoped to re-sign with Def Jam Records for 20 million dollars but the label didn't bite. The rapper's spokeswoman said, "He's continuing to negotiate with Def Jam."
In the meantime, LL Cool J will be touring with Dru Hill this summer and continuing his promising acting career. The rapper is one of the stars of the new movie S.W.A.T., which also stars Samuel Jackson, Colin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jeremy Renner. The film will hit theaters on August 8.
