Simon & Garfunkel Reunite, Earn Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award

(2/24/03, 10 a.m. ET) -- Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel performed together for the first time in 10 years, in recognition of the duo receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Simon and Garfunkel began the awards-show telecast by performing their hit "The Sound Of Silence."
Simon shared with LAUNCH the experience of playing with Garfunkel after so many years. "It's very special," Simon said. "You know, we're New Yorkers, and we haven't sung together in 10 years. In fact, we really haven't seen each other in 10 years, so it's like a reunion of family members, in our hometown, singing the song that, you know, was our first hit--really memorable night."
