(2/6/01, 5 p.m. ET) -- Alabama's latest single, "When It All Goes South," is sitting at Number 16 on the Billboard Country Singles chart this week and headed straight for the coveted top spot. If the song makes it all the way to the top of the chart, it will mark the legendary group's 43rd Number One song.
Teddy Gentry shared what he loved about the song with LAUNCH. "To me, the song reminded me of some of the music from when we were in the '70s, down in Myrtle Beach, a lot of the southern rock music that came out around that time," he said. "The groove is the first thing that attracted me to the song. It's kind of almost poking fun at ourselves in a way. We've been performing the song on stage since about the middle of summer with very good response. We think it's a great song for Alabama."
The group will no doubt be performing its latest hit at the Rodeo And Livestock Show in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday (February 7).
On February 17, Alabama will be performing at the Houston Livestock Show in Houston.
