Rat Pack Film May Swing

(1/5/98) - Film director Martin Scorcese is contemplating a new film that will depict the swinging life of Frank Sinatra and his fabled "Rat Pack," which included Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. , actor Peter Lawford and comedian Joey Bishop.

The New York Daily News reports the project is at the "ideas stage." Scorcese is also thinking of doing a film on the life of composer George Gershwin, with Tom Hanks allegedly under consideration for the star role.
