(12/15/00, 12 p.m. ET) - Creed's tour ended last night (December 14) in Orlando, Florida, and the members of Sevendust, longtime Creed tourmates, have nothing but respect for the band. Despite Creed's bad rap from some corners of the music industry, Sevendust singer Lajon Witherspoon told LAUNCH the two bands are friends, and Sevendust would go on the road with Creed again in a heartbeat.
Witherspoon said, " I wanna honestly say this. I think what they've done has been incredible. I think they get a bad rap a lot of times, and I don't understand why. Maybe it's because a lot of people [are] thinking they have this Christian thing. I think that's beautiful, because I pray to the Lord every night," he added, "and so I think that's a great thing. But Creed--let me tell you one thing--they've always been beside Sevendust. Ever since we were both in vans touring, they've never changed. I have much respect for their success, and I think they're great songwriters and I enjoy their music, and it's a great time touring with them."
