(11/19/99, 7 a.m. ET) - A lot of musicians have become addicted to golf over the years; none more so than Alice Cooper. Cooper is well-known on the celebrity tour as being one of the better players, and REO Speedwagon lead singer Kevin Cronin is a little bit jealous of Cooper's skill.

Cooper and Cronin often find themselves in friendly competition at events like the Fairway To Heaven tournament, which airs on VH1 this weekend. LAUNCH asked Cronin what it's like facing Cooper. "He wins every year, the bastard. He's too good--Alice Cooper is too good is the problem. The guy plays to like a seven or eight handicap; the rest of us are like 21 [or] 23 handicaps."

This year's Fairway To Heaven golf tournament, which was held in October, is set to feature Cronin, Cooper, David Cassidy, the Backstreet Boys, Lisa Loeb, Dweezil Zappa, No Doubt's Adrian Young, Branford Marsalis, Sugar Ray's Murphy Karges and Stan Frazier, Edwin McCain, Bon Jovi's Tico Torres and David Bryan, Brian McKnight, and former Mountain frontman Leslie West, along with actors Greg Kinnear, Joe Pesci, Scott Wolf, and Chris Noth, among others, playing for charity in Las Vegas.

While Cronin wasn't on the winning team this year, neither was Cooper. The winning team included Sugar Ray's Frazier; the second place team included Party Of Five's Wolf, and the third place team included Cassidy.

VH1's Fairway To Heaven coverage, hosted by "Weird Al" Yankovic, airs tomorrow (Nov. 20) at 11 a.m. ET.

Features on David Cassidy, No Doubt, Branford Marsalis, Sugar Ray, Edwin McCain, Brian McKnight, and "Weird Al" Yankovic are available on LAUNCH.com.
