03/28/2001 4:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Darren Davis
(3/28/01, 4 p.m. ET) -- Tickets for this year's Vans Warped Tour, featuring 311, Alien Ant Farm, Rancid, New Found Glory, H20, Pennywise, and the Rollins Band, are available now exclusively on the Warped tour website for $19.99 by accessing a special password. After pre-sale of the tickets, fans can purchase them for regular price on the site. The tour, owned by LAUNCH Media, kicks off June 22 at the Peoria Sports Complex in Phoenix.
Back in 1996, 311 played Warped and the now-defunct H.O.R.D.E. tour. Bassist P-Nut tells LAUNCH his Warped expectations. "I think we've got a really big following in the skate and surf and snow ways to have fun. I've heard it's just good to listen to, it's motivating, it'll make you do rad tricks, something like that. I think we fit into that a lot better, and I want to see Pennywise. I can't wait to see those kids go nuts."
The festival will also have several new attractions, including Incredibly Strange Wrestling, Warped Are They Now? (a look back at Warped's history), Reverse Day Care (parents in day care while their offspring rock out), Ladies Lounge, and Breakfast At The Warped Tour (a radio promotion).
Other bands on the tour include AFI, the Ataris, Fenix TX, the Living End, Less Than Jake, the Vandals, Dub Pistols, Kool Keith, Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, Good Charlotte, Amen, Sum 41, Grand Theft Audio, Flogging Molly, Distillers, Guttermouth, Fear, Bouncing Souls, Thrice, the Casualties, Apex Theory, Murder City Devils, Midtown, Big Wig, Morgan Heritage, Hesher, Slightly Stoopid, Black Halos, Switch, the Juliana Theory, Sugar Cult, No Motiv, Kill Your Idols, Liars Inc., the Start, Lefty, River City High, Jimmy Eat World, and the Explosion.
