(3/28/01, 4 p.m. ET) -- Eve 6, who just released its latest single, "Here's To The Night," built a core of fans with its song "Inside Out." The band has a pop edge, but its members don't like synthetic pop bands, especially O-Town.
Singer Max Collins, guitarist Jon Siebels, and drummer Tony Fagenson told LAUNCH they want to destroy O-Town.
"I think O-Town, like, I think...with 'N Sync, the Backstreet Boys, you know, whatever, they're... it can be annoying, whatever, they're doing their thing," Collins said.
Siebels added, "They're doing their thing, they've found their niche..."
Collins cotinued, "O-Town, and I sort of feel bad about this, but I want to inflict physical pain on every single one of those boys."
Siebels quipped, "It's a bad one. O-Town, bring it on. We'll kick your ass."
As to why they have such a distaste for O-Town, Collins replied, "They show you how manufactured it is. They've showed you the strings. How is that entertaining? Obviously people still buy it, but it's like, 'Here's how this bullsh-t was manufactured, we are buying it.'"
Siebels added, "It's like, first we're going to con you into buying this manufactured band, and then we're going to show you how we conned you out of your money."
