Orgy Hits The Heart Of Hollywood

(10/17/00, 10 a.m. ET) - Los Angeles glam rockers Orgy celebrated the release of their second album, Vapor Transmission, with a massive party in the heart of Hollywood on Friday night (October 13).
The so-called "Orgy Ball" filled several rooms on three different floors of the El Capitan Entertainment Centre, and culminated in a short performance by the group on a stage with a space-age appearance complementary to the group's latest explorations on Vapor Transmissions. The set focused on selections from the new album, which arrived in stores October 10.
The event attracted hundreds of fans, among them Korn's Munky and Fieldy, Method Of Mayhem's Tommy Lee, Rod Stewart, Leif Garrett, House Of Pain's Danny Boy, and current Guns N' Roses bassist Tommy Stinson.
Adult film star Ron Jeremy and countless dolled-up, gender-bent fans were also in the house, which, it's worth noting, is in the same complex as the El Capitan Theatre, operated by the Walt Disney Company.
Local fire marshals were also in attendance, spending the evening keeping corridors clear and rooms down to proper capacity. As a result, dozens of fans were shut out of the room in which Orgy actually performed.
