Everlast To Chat With LAUNCH
10/16/2000 12:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Craig Rosen
(10/16/00, 12 p.m. ET) - Everlast will conduct a chat with LAUNCH today (October 16) at 8 p.m. ET, a day before the rapper-singer releases his second album, Eat At Whitey's. "Black Jesus" is the first single off the album, which also features collaborations with Santana, Cypress Hill's B-Real, and others.
Eat At Whitey's is the follow-up to 1998's double platinum Whitey Ford Sings The Blues. The former House Of Pain frontman also earned a Grammy with "Put Your Lights On," a cut from Santana's Supernatural album, which has sold more than 10 million copies, according to industry sources.
Everlast's own "What It's Like," a song from Whitey Ford Sings The Blues was nominated for a Grammy.
Everlast and his band will open for Santana Tuesday (October 17) at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine, California.
After emerging as part of Ice-T's Rhyme Syndicate in the late 1980s, Everlast rocketed to stardom as a member of House Of Pain. Both the group's 1992 single "Jump Around" and self-titled debut album went platinum.
The Everlast chat will be hosted at http://chat.yahoo.com.
