Cypress Hill Has Fun With Radio Show
07/28/2000 1:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Craig Rosen
(7/28/00, 1 p.m. ET) - Cypress Hill has enjoyed enormous sales of its first five studio albums, but the Los Angeles-based group has also been thriving in another medium. Lead rapper B-Real and percussionist Bobo have been hosting Soul Assassins radio in the City Of Angels for the last two years. Bobo told LAUNCH about the experience. "Soul Assassins radio is definitely a lot of fun," he said. "We've been doing it for two years. It's been great, the fact that we can be ourselves and communicate with the people and give them a good time listening, and supporting hip-hop and all of that stuff. It's kind of scary talking to millions of people and you're not there visually, you're just there. You're talking to them, so you have to keep them interested." Skull & Bones, Cypress Hill's fifth album, has sold more than 748,000 copies, according to industry sources. Each of the group's studio albums has been certified at least gold, which equals 500,000 copies sold. -- Soren Baker and Billy Johnson Jr, Los Angeles
