Kenny Rogers Pays Tribute To 'The Gambler' With Wyclef Jean And Coolio

(7/28/00, 7 a.m. ET) - Kenny Rogers will make an appearance on two rap projects in the upcoming months. Rogers participates in Wyclef Jean's "Kenny Rogers Scene," which is included on his album The Ecleftic- 2 Sides II A Book, set for an August 22 release. Rogers sings a portion of his 1978 hit "The Gambler" in the tune.

Rogers also joined up with rapper Coolio to record another tune based on "The Gambler." The song may appear on Coolio's upcoming album Coolio.com, which will be released on Allied Artist Records some time later this year.
