Blur's Albarn Contributes To Soundtrack

(2/9/00, 12 p.m. ET) - Blur leader Damon Albarn is amongthe artists on the soundtrack to the upcoming Kevin Spacey and Linda Fiorentino film, Ordinary Decent Criminal . The soundtrack to the U.K. film includes five songs written and performed by Albarn, one of which is a collaboration with Massive Attack 's Robert "3D" Del Naja . Albarn rarely steps outside of Blur to do solo work, which makes the newsoundtrack songs that much more unique. The Ordinary Decent Criminal soundtrack, set for release on AtlanticRecords in the U.K. on March 13, also features tracks from Bryan Ferry , Lowfinger , Bis , Shack , and Yma Sumac . Directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan ( Nothing Personal , December Bride ), Ordinary Decent Criminal features Spacey as a thief and head of a gang who enjoys heists with a flair, making him a popular character in Dublin. The film is already open in Ireland and Denmark.There is no U.S. release date yet set for the film or the soundtrack.
