President Bush Surprises Judds In Vegas

Wynonna and Naomi Judd got an unexpected special guest at Saturday's concert (Feb. 5) in Las Vegas when former President George Bush showed up to support the mother-daughter duo. As Naomi prepared to exit the stage for a costume change, she reached for assistance from a stagehand, and found Bush as her escort instead. He told Naomi that he was in town having dinner when someone mentioned attending the Judds concert. He rushed right over, bringing his entourage of Secret Service agents with him. When it came time for Naomi to reappear on stage, the lights went up and Bush was standing beside her. He told the crowd, "I have been married to Barbara for 54 years, but I have had a crush on this amazing lady for a long time." Naomi responded to his remarks by giving him a kiss on the cheek, leaving a perfect red lipstick imprint. -- Jennifer Gerlock, Nashville
