(7/13/01, 4 p.m. ET) -- Black Sabbath, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Papa Roach, and Marilyn Manson are among the artists featured on OzzFest 2001: The Second Millennium, a live collection due August 14 from Epic Records. The 16-track album is culled from highlights captured over two days in the Midwest early on in this year's tour.
Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan, whose band contributes the song "Fear," tells LAUNCH that he already has his a personal highlight from OzzFest 2001--performing in front of the tour's namesake himself, Ozzy Osbourne. "You know, you never get really starstruck when you're out and you meet so many people like this, but when you've got Ozzy watching your set, you can't help but just have such a surreal feeling, you can't believe that he's there watching you. He never really comes out. You don't really see him that much. You know, I just felt like a little kid for the first time in a long time."
The complete track listing is: "The Wizard," Black Sabbath; "The Love Song," Marilyn Manson; "New Abortion," Slipknot; "Blood Brothers," Papa Roach; "With You," Linkin Park; "Fear," Disturbed; "Superterrorizor," Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society; "Death Blooms," Mudvayne; "Bodies," Drowning Pool; "Southern Texas Deathride," Union Underground; "Filthee," Otep; "What A Day," Nonpoint; "Last Breath," Hatebreed; "Deep Colors Bleed...," Systematic; "Kiss Of Death," Pure Rubbish; and "Reach And Touch," American Head Charge.
OzzFest arrives tomorrow (July 17) at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Charlotte, North Carolina.
