(3/13/01, 6 p.m. ET) -- Orgy had to cancel the last five dates of its headline tour and has pulled out of the Raid The Nation tour headlined by Papa Roach due to illness. Synth guitarist Amir Derakh was recently diagnosed with mononucleosis and is required to rest for five to six weeks.
The dates cancelled this week included Louisville on Monday (March 12), San Antonio on Wednesday (March 14), South Padre Island on Thursday (March 15), Corpus Christi on Friday (March 16), and New Orleans on Saturday (March 17). The band is hoping to reschedule the dates for sometime in the spring.
The Raid The Nation tour starts on Sunday (March 18), but Derakh will not be recovered in time for Orgy to join the bill. He is expected to make a full recovery, and the band will continue touring in May and June.
