(11/21/00, 10 a.m. ET) - New songs by Elvis Costello, Edwin McCain, and Seal will be featured on the soundtrack to the upcoming the Nicholas Cage film The Family Man, due from London-Sire Records on December 5.
Costello contributes "You Stole My Bell," described by a spokesperson for the project as "reminiscent of his classic album Imperial Bedroom," while McCain offers the Dianne Warren song "I Don't Know How I Got By." Seal's contribution is "This Could Be Heaven," which is the album's first single.
Other songs on the collection include: "One," U2; "Wicked Game," Chris Isaak; "Once In A Lifetime," Talking Heads; "World Looking In," Morcheeba; "La Donna E Mobile," Luciano Pavarotti and the London Symphony Orchestra; "To Be With You," Mr. Big; "Sideshow," Blue Magic; "La La Means I Love You," the Delfonics; and "Eres Tu," Mocedades.
The film score is by Danny Elfman.
The Family Man stars Cage as a high-powered Wall Street trader whose fate is rewritten when he finds himself in the life he would have had if he had made different choices earlier in life. It also stars Tea Leoni and Don Cheadle and opens December 22.
