KROQ Weenie Roast Lineup Set

(6/8/98) - Southern California radio station KROQ, one of the most influential rock stations in the country, has set its lineup for its sixth annual Weenie Roast summertime concert. As usual, it features the A-list of currently hot rock acts.

The show will be held June 20th at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in Irvine, California. Prodigy, Crystal Method, the Wallflowers, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Blink 182, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Creed, Deftones, Everclear, Fastball, Green Day, Harvey Danger, Madness, Marcy Playground, Ozomatli, Save Ferris, Sprung Monkey and Third Eye Blind are all slated to perform.

This year KROQ is going for a fiesta theme, with strolling Mariachi bands, piñatas and Mexican food. Proceeds from the event will benefit AIDS Project L.A., AIDS Walk Orange County, the Surfrider Foundation and Heal The Bay.
