Soundtracks Top Billboard Chart

(6/5/98) - Following in the wake of the long ride at No. 1 of the music from Titanic, soundtracks once again dominated Billboard's album chart this week.

This week's new No. 1 album is the soundtrack to City Of Angels, which features the Goo Goo Dolls, Alanis Morissette, Paula Cole and U2. The album sold165,000 copies for the week ending May 31st, according to SoundScan.

At No. 2 isGodzilla's soundtrack at No. 2, which includes the Wallflowers' cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" and Puff Daddy & Jimmy Page's remake of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir." Two other movie/ TV soundtracks are also in the top 10--Ally McBeal featuring Vonda Shepard, and Titanic, with Hope Floats and Bulworth close behind in the top 20.
