Presidents Of The United States In The Running Again

(6/27/00, 3 p.m. ET) - The Presidents Of The United States Of America are back in business with a release planned on Music Blitz label. The band recorded a batch of new songs last month. Guitarist Dave Dederer told LAUNCH about the group's forthcoming album.

"The new Presidents record is called Freaked Out And Small, and it's extremely rocking. It's almost a garage rock kind of sound," he said. "It's basically three guys in a room rocking out. Not that our first three records weren't , but it's a little more aggressive, I think."

Dederer added that he's also trying to get an album out with his other band, Subset, which features the Presidents with the vocal talent of rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot.
