Amy Grant Details Relationship With Vince Gill

(10/11/99, 1 a.m. PDT) - Amy Grant has revealed some details about the nature of her much-rumored relationship with Vince Gill. The pair has been spotted together around Nashville recently--on Sept. 28 at a Nashville Predators pre-season hockey game and again later at a local Waffle House. When asked about the relationship, Grant told The Tennessean that Gill is "hands down, slam dunk, my best friend." The pair has known each other since 1993, when Gill invited Grant to appear on his Christmas special. Grant, who in March divorced Gary Chapman, her husband of 16 years, said that she hopes Gill is around for the long haul. "I just want to enjoy his company," Grant said. "Is that the kind of thing that the natural conclusion is that eventually these two people will wind up together and grow old together? I hope so. But do I understand the timetable for that?
