(10/12/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- Santa Barbara, California-based band Toad the Wet Sprocket will reunite for several concerts in their home state, opening for Counting Crows.
Only one show, the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles on December 10, is confirmed as of press time. However, guitarist Todd Nichols suggested there was more to come.
Posting Thursday (October 10) on the website of his band Lapdog, which he co-founded with former Toad drummer Randy Guss, Nichols wrote, "You guys shouldn't get too excited about this one L.A. show you know about. It now looks like there will be several more California shows with the Crows. Plus, Toad rehearsed today and we are talking about doing more in the future--maybe much more. We'll see what happens. Stay tuned."
Original Toad The Wet Sprocket members Nichols, Guss, singer-guitarist Glen Phillips and bassist Dean Dinning recently gathered in an L.A. studio, for the group's first rehearsal since their July 1998 breakup.
