Sevendust And Jerry Cantrell Bury The Hatchet

(7/10/02, 1 p.m. ET) - After last week's blow-up between Sevendust and Jerry Cantrell, the two exchanged phone calls over the weekend and have smoothed things over. "It was all a big misunderstanding and everyone is friends again, Sevendust and Jerry Cantrell," Sevendust said via a label spokesperson.
The two artists had a falling out on July 1 in Barrie, Ontario during Edgefest, when Cantrell covered for Sevendust when they were slightly detained at the Canadian border. Cantrell experienced technical and other problems, and after smashing his guitar, told the crowd to get ready for "Sevenf--k." When Sevendust hit the stage, singer Lajon Witherspoon had similar expletives for the former Alice In Chains guitarist.
Now that the two have apologized and made nice, a spokesperson for Sevendust said anything is possible.
