(5/11/02, 7 a.m. ET) -- Saliva frontman Josey Scott and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger teamed for the song "Hero," which is Number 13 on Billboard Modern Rock Track's chart and is the first single from the Spider-Man: Music From And Inspired By album.
Scott told LAUNCH he met Kroeger last year on tour and instantly started writing songs together. He knew that a song Kroeger wrote called "Hero" was destined for big things.
"We had a couple of movies coming, like Mel Gibson's movie When We Were Soldiers was mentioned and I heard through the grapevine about Spider-Man. I was like, 'Dude, we've got to do Spider-Man, dude. That's dope. That's going to be big.' He had the idea for the song 'Hero' so I came up to Vancouver and met him. He pitched me the idea, and I was like that was pretty dope. So we sort of tweaked it, together, laid down some harmonies on it, and played everything from congas to acoustics on it. It came out real good," Scott said.
