(11/26/01, 3 p.m. ET) -- Rap star Coolio is one of eight artists featured on a celebrity edition of Fear Factor, the NBC reality TV show scheduled to air Tuesday at 8 p.m. Coolio, actresses Kelly Preston and Brooke Burns, Donny Osmond, David Hasselhoff, and Joanie Laurer (formerly wrestler Chyna) each had their heads enclosed in a 17-inch square plexiglass box filled with giant millipedes from Africa, super worms, and scorpions.
Coolio said he was traumatized for life. "I won't ever, ever, do anything like this again," Coolio told LAUNCH. "A family member would have to be involved--their life in danger--to get me to do this again."
Coolio's 1994 debut album It Takes A Thief achieved platinum status and featured the single "Fantastic Voyage." His 1995 follow-up, Gangsta's Paradise, sold more than two million copies, and the title track exceeded the three million sales mark. In 1997, he released My Soul. Fantastic Voyage: The Greatest Hits was released this year.
