Offspring Enjoys Collaborating With Other Bands On Tour

(11/3/00, 12 p.m. ET) - The Offspring just played a few U.K. shows before returning to America. The band will kick off a U.S. tour with MxPx and Cypress Hill on November 18 in Los Angeles -- four days after the release of its new album, Conspiracy Of One.
On the prospect of interacting on stage with Cypress Hill, vocalist Dexter Holland told LAUNCH, "I think that would be totally cool. I could totally imagine B-Real from Cypress Hill doing the 'Original Prankster' line or something like that. So, yeah, I think that would be cool," he said. "That's what's fun about taking bands on the road: [to] start to work together on some stuff and have fun."
Guitarist Noodles told fans on the Offspring's website not to be disappointed if the band doesn't hit their town on the first leg of the tour. "Mostly all we've been doing is gearing up for the North American tour. We are stoked about going out with MxPx and Cypress Hill. The end of the tour is still in the planning stages, and this is only our first pass, so don't start ragging on us about missing your town until the whole next year and a half of touring is over. Just relax and we'll almost certainly play in some city nearby. If by some reason we don't, well, then you've earned the right to rag on us, and I wouldn't respect you if you didn't, so really let us have it!"
After the new year, the Offspring return to Europe to play a string of dates starting January 17 in Glasgow, Scotland.
