(2/29/00, 4 p.m. ET) - The Bloodhound Gang is at it again, infuriating parents across the country with its new album, Hooray For Boobies, which was released today (Feb. 29). The band had mild success with the song "Fire Water Burn" from its album, One Fierce Beer Coaster. The new album is full of tongue-in-cheek adolescent party tunes, including its first single, "The Bad Touch." Bloodhound Gang ringleader Jimmy Pop Ali tell LAUNCH about his approach to songwriting. "I'm pretty anal retentive in the studio, so I make sure that only the good stuff makes it to the record, or what I consider to be good stuff," he said. "The rest of America says it's crap. I basically make the records to please myself, you know? It's no rocket science to do the chords." Hooray For Boobies is already enjoying huge success overseas, where it was released late last year. It has gone platinum in Austria and Germany, and gold in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland. Of their international success, Ali Pop says, "We just knocked Oasis out of the No. 1 spot in Spain. It seems like people have bad taste in music all over Europe." -- Darren Davis, New York
