(9/15/99, 1 a.m. PDT) - After 10 years with Atlantic Records, Neal McCoy has asked for a release from the label. "I've had a great run with Atlantic," McCoy said in a statement. "Rick Blackburn signed me to the label and was my biggest supporter. With Rick retiring, I just felt it was also time for me to move on." Matt King is also no longer with the label. Sources at Atlantic say that the agreement was mutual. Remaining on the label's roster are Tracy Lawrence, Confederate Railroad, Mullins Black, John Michael Montgomery, and South Sixty Five. -- Jennifer Gerlock, Nashville Got news tips, comments, or questions?
