Rhett Akins: A Familiar Face?

(3/4/98) - Country hunk Rhett Akins learned one of the perks of fame last week when leaving a club gig in downtown Nashville. Pulled over for a busted headlight, Akins realized he didn't have his driver's license with him, and was faced with multiple citations plus the ire of Nashville's finest.

Fortunately, Akins happened to have been pulled over beneath a gigantic MCA billboard advertising his newest album. After telling the cops, "Hey, that's me!," he got off without a ticket. His only fine? An autograph for the cops.
